Fridge Pal helps you track the food in your fridge, freezer, and pantry and reminds you before it expires. We built Fridge Pal to be privacy-friendly: most of your data stays on your device.
When you add items to your virtual fridge and pantry, the app stores that information locally on your device. This may include item names, categories, locations, quantities, purchase dates, estimated expiry dates, and reminder preferences. This data is not transmitted to us. Fridge Pal does not operate user accounts and does not require you to sign in.
Receipt scanning is optional. When you scan a receipt there are two paths:
Receipt images are used only to populate your inventory and are not stored on our servers.
Fridge Pal schedules local notifications on your device. These are generated and delivered locally โ we do not see or collect this activity.
The app may use OpenRouter / AI vision model providers only when receipt scanning is used with an API key, and Apple for App Store distribution and local notifications.
Fridge Pal is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Because your inventory data lives on your device, you can view, edit, or delete it at any time within the app. Removing the app deletes that data. For any requests or questions, contact us below.
